here is a checklist to make one easy :)
- tripod (must have)
- use low iso and long exposure (makes it easier to catch one)
- use custom timer: 1-2sec pause and series of 10 (or more) shots on one click (makes it easier on finger)
- patience (damn it.) :D

it's a simple compact canon with some extras to firmware ;) things like bracketing, raw, live histogram, etc).

actually, there were two problems: clouds were very strange, so a lowest iso + 0.5 sec exposure results in a total overexposure, not sure why, but it seems they conducted the light from lightning too well; secondly, it was personal - lightning striking at the time of saving shots to card (i used 10 shot series) and striking at opposite side of sky :stab: :rofl:

Ahhhh I see. Well I don't know if you can do this with your camera but if it's overexposed it's to do with the f stop. On yours it says 2.8. If you lowered the shutter speed and but that f stop up it would have been fine. But as I said, I'm no expert as I have not had the opportunity to try >.<

Hmm, sounds like I'll have to read up on my camera. I don't know how to change the iso yet, nor the timer. But I've got the tri-pod! :lol:
